Permanent Residency

Permanent residency, (also known as having a green card) allows a person to stay indefinitely in the United States. A person with permanent residency is able to legally work inside the United States and can travel. There are many ways to gain permanent residency, however it is generally done by being petitioned either by a family member or by a business entity. Though permanent residency is often difficult to obtain, it can lead to United States citizenship after three to five years.

Certain conditions must be met in order to qualify for residency and for a resident to renew his or her gren card. Crimes, deportations, and time spent unlawfully in the United States can all affect eligibility for permanent residency.

Please schedule an appointment for a consultation to see if you qualify for permanent residency. Our office will be glad to guide you through the process.
